Welcome to my new blog!
I've been researching my family tree for as long as I can remember, really. I always loved to listen to the stories that my Mom would tell me about life when she was growing up in the mountains of Pennsylvania. I was fascinated by the way they lived, with no running water or electricity. It was so different than my own life growing up in the middle-class suburbs of Washington DC.
My grandmother on my Dad's side would tell me about his family. She had a great record of people and dates, more of a facts-only approach than my Mom's story-telling. Grandmother was a bit secretive and mysterious and that sense of mystery is also what attracted me to genealogy, I think. There is always the possibility of surprise to it. What was kept secret? What was just lost over time? Who were these people that quite literally make up our DNA? It's the greatest mystery story never written.
After about 40 years of collecting these photos, documents, and stories, I've decided that it's time to start organizing and sharing them. I will be uploading the photos in high-resolution so that everyone in the family can download them. I'll be writing the stories here that I have been told so that those stories will never be lost. I hope that you will start to feel like you know these people a little bit, the way that I do. I hope to share the surprises and secrets that I've uncovered and I hope that a few of you will join me in the research!
If you click on Follow by Email (there is a button on the top left) then you will get an email whenever I write a new post. Please save the photos to your files and print them, and don't forget to write on the back who they are!
This first photo is my Dad. I love the artistic way that whoever took this photo cleverly tilted the camera. The license plate on the car looks like it says "1938" so if this was taken that year he would be about five. I love his little plaid jacket and the way he is fidgeting with his jacket pocket (he always was a fidgeter). Does anyone know what kind of car this was? I have no idea who it belonged to but I would assume it was his father's car or his grandparent's car. He lived with his grandparents off and on throughout his life...but I'll save that story for another day. 😉
My life is back!!! After 1 years of Broken marriage, my husband left me with two kids . I felt like my life was about to end I almost committed suicide, I was emotionally down for a very long time. Thanks to a spell caster called Dr Mark, which I met online. On one faithful day, as I was browsing through the internet,I came across a lot of testimonies about this particular spell caster. Some people testified that he brought their Ex lover back, some testified that he restores womb, cure cancer, and other sickness, some testified that he can cast a spell to stop divorce and so on. I also came across one particular testimony,it was about a woman called Alandre, she testified about how he brought back her Ex lover in less than 2 days, and at the end of her testimony she dropped Dr Mark e-mail address. blessedlovetemple@gmail.com After reading all these,I decided to give it a try. I contacted him via email and explained my problem to him. In just 48 hours, my husband came back to me. We solved our issues, and we are even happier than before. Dr Mark is really a gifted man and I will not stop publishing him because he is a wonderful man... If you have a problem and you are looking for a real and genuine spell caster to solve all your problems for you. Try blessedlovetemple@gmail.com anytime, he might be the answer to your problems.
